The KCLS Foundation's annual fundraiser, in its 26th year, is the library event of the year. More than 750 community members join together to raise funds for programs and services at the King County Library System.

Guests have the opportunity to have books signed by their favorite authors, shop at the pop-up bookstore, enjoy a delicious dinner, and mingle with other book lovers - all to support a great cause.

The Literary Lions Gala also features the debut of the annual Author Salon event series, with tickets first offered for sale exclusively to Gala attendees. Author Salons are intimate events with popular authors at venues around the Seattle Area, held throughout the spring and summer. Attendees can get to know their favorite author while enjoying delicious food and wine, all at a unique venue. You can read more about the Author Salon series here.

BOOKS, MEALS, AND POSSIBILITIES

Summer at the Library

This year, funds raised at the Literary Lions Gala will support the beloved KCLS Summer Reading program. Your donations will bring books, meals, and possibilities to kids from Bothell to Enumclaw and everywhere in between.

Studies show that when kids make reading part of their healthy habits, they have better success in school. But Summer Reading is more than just books. Summer meals served at libraries feed growing minds and bodies when school lunches aren’t there to fill in the gap. And library programs engage kids in everything from exploring music, to computer coding, to science - giving them a world of possibilities for their bright future.
