Keynote Author

Jennifer Egan

Jennifer Egan is the author of several novels and a short story collection.  Her new novel, Manhattan Beach, published last fall and a New York Times bestseller, was awarded the 2018 Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Fiction.  Her previous novel, A Visit From the Goon Squad, won the 2011 Pulitzer Prize, the National Book Critics Circle Award, and the Los Angeles Times book prize.  Also a journalist, Egan regularly writes nonfiction for the New York Times Magazine, The New Yorker, Harper’s Magazine, and GQ.  She lives with her husband and sons in Brooklyn.
