Author Salons are unique experiences for you to share food, wine, and conversation with a renowned Northwest author. Set in an intimate venue, you have an opportunity to meet the author, learn about his/her background and writing inspirations, and ask questions. A copy of the author’s book is included in the ticket price and will be personalized by the author at the conclusion of the salon. All proceeds benefit the KCLS Foundation and provide literacy, learning, and library programs to our community.

You've heard Nancy Pearl talk about books on her Book Lust radio and television shows for years. Named Librarian of the Year in 2011, Nancy is a rock star among readers and sought-after speaker who is a pre-eminent book expert. Her debut novel, George & Lizzie, will be published in September and you will be one of the first in Seattle to get a copy of her new book. At the salon Nancy will talk about writing her novel, as well as books in general. You will take in fantastic views of Seattle in the incredible Penthouse Suite at the Sorrento Hotel and author Jim Lynch will turn the tables on Nancy and serve as interviewer.
